8th August 2020
Struggled a bit today with the munchies, Im sort of looking forward to weigh day and fresh start to the week tommorow.
Thought I would show you what I have for "1st" breakfast.
Benecol to reduce my lipids, two Goli jellies (apple cyder vinegar; help with digestion, show good blood sugar reducing in diabetics and reportedly reduces appetite), two Well Woman supplements, two tumeric tablets (for joint pain; they exploded during my Covid+), a (very large) VitD supplement, 2x BP reducing tablets (the joys of being a porker) and finally the tablet to help my liver recover from the clotting issues that Covid+ left me.
Actual breakfast was cheese spread and marmite on wholemeal pitta.
Walking the Woof today was fun! bless him he looks chastised as I had just told him off for licking my ear!!
Lunch was herring salad with berries and greek 0% yogurt, cherries and a greengage!! I am loving edamame beans at the moment (those are the little green pea looking things!)
Dinner was another salad with mussels. (sadly I cooked some chicken for the cats and ended up munching on the crunchy skin as I was shredding up 😕 - I had cals left over from another day so I added them on to that day - will show at the weeks stats) but I felt disappointed with myself.

4th, 5th & 6th August 2020 - Dorset Days Away!
So Hubby and I decided ages ago we would take a quick mini break when his work had a little space in it.
Bingo and we were off to Tolpuddle in Dorset.... only 1.5hrs drive away yet far enough to call a mini break!
We had a little cottage that was self catering, so apart from one lunch in the middle we manged to eat at home and I was therefore in CONTROL.
Tuesday breakfast was two slices of pumpkin toast with cream cheese and marmite; lunch before we went was a big chicken salad....
After we arrived and did a stroll around the little village we had a steak and salad dinner - yum yum - before vegging out on the sofa to watch movies and enjoy some together time.
Wednesday was a jam packed sightseeing day in Weymouth.
We started the day off with ham and egg on toast and set off for Nothe Forte, sadly it was closed til much later and we ended up at the local Sand Sculpture Event. This is Hubby finishing off the Evolution of Man.....
Lunch was something that I had been vexing over and getting excited about for weeks..... The Dorset Burger Co.
I opted in the end for a "Cajun Burger" with the Lite option (no chips but salad) - its basically a cajun spiced chicken breast with a grilled pineapple ring - it was lush! I even treated myself to a stuffed jalepeno pepper - all cal counted! go me 😀
Yes I stole a chip and onion ring! but was unimpressed - however, Hubby had to put the chips out of my sight and reach, as post his own enormous "Triple Meat" burger he couldn't eat the chips and the old me reared its picking/chip eating head.....
After lunch we strolled back down the beach, had a cold drink and then visited the Sealife centre - always fun!!
Please note the beautiful necklace Hubby gave me as a surprise!
On the way back I surprised HIM with a Jurassic Safari! a ride on an ATV with local guide showing us all the fauna and flora - with tea and homemade cake, I did indulge, to be polite! and had two bites!
Post all that walking (15k steps), excitement and eating we headed "home" for more movies, snuggles and a chicken salad.
Thursday morning and it was time to come home, we treated ourselves to a huge breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon and headed home.
Dinner in the evening was the easypeasy Cabbage & Prawn "melt" with more salmon!
7th August 2020
So back to reality and normal service, sort of, resuming!
It hit 33C today so not much walking was done; outside was just too hot and inside, even with fans on, was too sticky!
However, food was good....
Breakfast was mackerel in tomato sauce on wholemeal pitta, with greek 0% yogurt and raspberries.
Lunch was another pitta 😖 (my only excuse was I dont have any salad in the house - shopping tomo') with cheese spread, ham and boiled egg. Mixed nuts, grapes and Alpen bar.
Dinner was basically all the left over veg in the fridge with some garlic/chilli soaked beef strips.

3rd August 2020
I started the day with berries, 0% yogurt and nuts.
Walked into town and on the way back I randomly picked up some edamame beans to go in my tuna salad; they were surprisingly lovely, would not have chosen to eat them before, but as I discussed with My Aunty Cath - my lifestyle has changed and new experiences are all the rage!
Dinner was tandoori chicken salad..... been very green today 😇

2nd August 2020
So today was a bit of a weird, out of control day!
Not only did I wake up ravenous, we were out for brunch and then at a friends for late lunch - so alot was out of my control..... scary!
As I was awake at stupid O'clock (4am) I had cheese spread and marmite on pitta.
at 10.30 The Hubby and I had been planning to visit the local "Vegan Festival" to get some ideas, do some tasting etc etc - it was a bit of a damp squib tbh, lots of cake stalls, a few smoothie places, an artist! (wth) and a sushi place!!
we opted to try a trio of vegan sushi, TunO, veggies & jackfruit - all very nice but nothing we hadnt had before! and we finished off with a vegan fruit/ganache tart.
The best part was just spending time with him and cowering under a tree when the heavens opened!!
We then mooched off to our friends for lunch who we hadnt seen since "lockdown" - they were super kind and had my needs in mind with a Spanish chicken dish and fruit pudding!!
I forgot to take a picture of the main! it went down the hole too fast, but pudding was too pretty not to photo!
Late into the evening we had our planned dinner of veggie burgers and salad..... I tried some new ones by Naked Moo and they were lovely!
Overall the day was wonderful, I managed not to eat too much, although I think my stats for the day are not even close to what I actually had!
But it was enjoyable and really good to know I could be sociable, visit a food festival AND stay in control without feeling deprived.

1st August 2020
Finally the weekend (not that, that actually makes any difference to my work pattern!) but also the start of my AL week.
Breakfast was cheese and marmite on pitta with berries and 0% yogurt.
Lunch with Hubby was a seafood salad - yummy!!
but then we also had a snack of sushi mid afternoon as we were both tired and snacky 😒 this shot my carbs up!! not had rice for 4 months!
Dinner was Char Sui pork, salad and swede/carrot mash. None of it looks appealing in the picture but was very tasty! (no food colouring used on the pork!)
